BIG BERNARDS graduation short

Hey yo crabzooz !
Here it is our second short for our Master (5th year graduation) at ECV Animation school co-produced with  Antoine Dhondt. Gautier Abadie made BO and sound design !
ENG: Two hermit crabs goes to fight each other to seduce a female hermit crab ! Each one try to have bigger and sexier shell to win the competition and reach the heart of their beloved!
FR: Deux Bernards l’hermite entrent en conflit pour séduire une femelle et cherchent chacun leur tour  de nouvelles coquilles toujours plus grandes et toujours plus belles pour gagner la compétition, et ainsi atteindre le cœur de leur dulcinée.

 

Here is the research I made (with Antoine’s help) ! I mainly worked on expressions, posing and environment, render .

We tried to represent typically how two hermits crabs want to seduce a female with a big dose of self-mockery and fun !

We worked like a ping pong game : One of us found an idea and the other took it to upgrade in a funny way! I have mostly done all the graphic part,  layout and fx, Antoine made a very great part for intervalling the characters animation.

TATANKA : LE RITUEL

Our first short for our 4th year graduation at ECV Animation school with Augustin Descamps and Antoine Dhondt.

 

We wanted to mix 2D BG and 3D characters , there was really a challenge for us !

I have to realize the graphic part in 2D , I created all the backgrounds in the movie , props, textures and fx (painted essentially in photoshop and Tv paint) . Here some research I have done :

 

Weird World 3.0

  • -Personnal Project –

Since all people is incarned by their holograms , The IRL World is now an URL for everyone. The leitmotiv of these Illusion world is to systematically demonise the obedience in order to impose their crazy conservatism on everyone. All people want to have a new color of pixel, compare each other to be different from the other.. Welcome to STRANGE WORLD 3.0 , a neo futurism from the past of the pasta box.

BATTLE_SHAKAPONK : ZOMBIES ! feat Manza – (RIP Lenny, David, Kurt)

Avec Manza on a participé à un petit concours interne dans l’école pour shaka-ponk  en Novembre 2016 : créer trois charadesign  pour un show 3D de leur concert . On a perdu mais on s’est bien dépassé et bien marré , voici les Turn de nos trois musicos revenus à la vie : Lenny, David Bowie et Kurt Cobain que j’ai réalisé  puis la line up en ping pong avec Manza,  on avait peu de temps pour tout travailler mais je trouve qu’il y a un bon mix de style !

OCCULUS – Train Fantôme

MARATHON DE L’ANIM 2017

Voici notre animation pour le marathon de l’anim’ 2017, dans le cadre de la fête de l’animation à Lille.

Vidéo produite en 36h par Antoine Dhondt, Yoann Leclercq, et Joseph Loche. Bonne grosse dose de délire ! On avait une image de base (voir ci dessous) faite par l’illustre RUN et 10 secondes pour chaque groupe !

Partenariat Decathlon – ECV : Habillage scénique lors des Innovation Awards

Création d’un Mapping pour la cérémonie des Decathlon Innovations Awards 2016 au Zénith de Lille.

Vidéo RCUP : Comissioned work for the Rcup start-up .

Création d’un film présentant la start up Rcup et ses semelles adaptatives et connectées dans un style simple et décalé . J’ai entièrement réalisé le court métrage du StoryBoard , à l’animation , motion graphisme, musique et bruitages. C’est ma première expérience en projet seul en production, qui fut très enrichissante . La vidéo a été diffusée pour présenter la start-up au salon de l’innovation CES 2017 à Los Angeles en Janvier 2017.
